What is the Hackathon?

A weekend-long event where groups of students come together to create new solutions,
products or businesses that can make a positive contribution to the world around them.
All teams at the SportsPro Hackathon will – of course – be competing against each other,
but simultaneously will share a common objective: driving sustainability in sport.

Students will receive mentorship from some of the leading innovators in the sports industry

About The Hackathon Weekend

How To Access The Event?

Students will be given access to Swapcard which will allow them to network with students from other universities. They can view assets that will help them prepare for the event weekend and ask any burning questions that they may have through the helpdesk.

What To Expect?

Prior to the event students will be assigned a team by their lecturers, they will work together across the weekend on a project, collating their
results in a final presentation. We will reveal the criteria that the judges will be grading each presentation on the first day of the event.

challenge winners - pitch to our judges and future employers at sportspro live

Winners of each challenge will be asked to pitch their ideas to our judges and a live audience of the most influential leaders at one of the industries flagship events, SportsPro Live, on Day 1. The overall winner will then be announced on Day 2.

challenge winners - editorial coverage to be seen by sportspro wider audience

The ultimate objective of the Hackathon is to give students the platform to elevate their voice and ideas to position them as the innovators they are, whilst simultaneously providing them with vital industry exposure. For these reasons, SportsPro will prepare a feature editorial piece in the aftermath of the event, detailing the work of the challenge winners.
